The venue of the interactive workshop 2017, "Growing The Value of Originality and Teamwork"  is the Holiday Inn, Pembina, Hwy, Winnipeg. The event is being co-sponsored by Assiniboine Credit Union and the Creative Foundation Inc.

        The activities which are going to be for grades 4 to 6 and grades 7 to 10 students from across Manitoba will be grouped accordingly.  

Accomplished Winnipeg artist, Yisa Akinbolaji, former president of the Manitoba Society of Artists, whose innovative technique has inspired the development of Remoglue will teach his technique. Creative Foundation Inc will supply free materials for the workshop. Students will also be allowed to take their completed works to their respective schools. Participants can also look forward to a workshop by Nellie Award recipient, Beatrice Watson of the Manitoba Human Rights Commission.

         Students will take part in an interactive presentation of music and musical elements from different parts of the world with the goal of considering the universality of music. Students will also learn the art of transforming selected poems into spoken word.

    This year's hands-on event will be all-inclusive as each student will have a chance to attend and to enjoy all the activities. We are happy to announce that some aspects of this event will be sponsored by Assiniboine Credit Union. Attendance is by invitation and registration only. After the event, we will give each participant a certificate of participation. All participating institutions will also expect to receive a published booklet documenting the event by the end of the year.
