Creative Foundation awarded two distinguished honours to outstanding individuals, one of whom is Canada’s, Tanmay Bakshi. While in Winnipeg, Tanmay also conducted a 2-day workshop for computer students of Fort Richmond Collegiate on how to develop applications using new technologies. The September 19th workshop was co-sponsored by Creative Foundation and Chris and Fettes Family Foundation.
Tanmay Bakshi, a 15-year-old technology prodigy, app developer, IBM Cloud advisor, and TEDx Talk presenter who has been working with computers since the age of 5 presented “Hello Swift” the book he authored for purchase after the 20th-anniversary celebration on September 18th. There was a long line-up for Tanmay’s book signing. Tanmay had presented keynote addresses on Artificial Intelligence at conferences for professionals in over ten countries.
The Creative Foundation Life Mentor award was presented by Lt. Gov. of Manitoba, Hon. Janice C. Filmon on Wednesday, September 18. CFI helps to mentor children and youth to develop their skills in art, science and technology, positive racial relations, and other educational topics relevant to the youth. That way, they can grow to develop confidence, improve their academic success and benefit from each other’s creative fields.
